A mini-skirted hiker stands on a ridge above the old Hermitage Hotel, Mt Cook lilies around her feet and Mount Cook/Aoraki in the background. “Mt Cook for Summer Joys”, it reads “Low combined Rail and Motor Fares”. Advertising the attractions of Mount Cook in summer to tourists this vintage tourism poster is by an anonymous designer from the New Zealand Railways Studios and dates from 1935. A very high quality re-print on cotton rag paper (for a genuine vintage look) using modern light fast inks.
