Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz that is beautifully translucent with wispy clouds of natural imperfections that adds to the depth of colour. These hang from elegantly curved hooks that are made of .925 Sterling silver and are suitable for sensitive ears.
The Greek believed that amethyst protects one from intoxication, guards against guilty and fearful feelings, and symbolises humility, sincerity and spiritual wisdom. It is also the February Birthstone.
