I am originally Swiss and came to New Zealand to work as a roof plumber. I have been in New Zealand for over 7 years.
In my trade we use copper as it is used in roofing, wall cladding, guttering and down pipes. I started making copper art in my spare time and what started as a Christmas present for my family is now being displayed at art galleries and available to everyone online. As the years went by my art has developed to the level it is now however I try to improve and make new, more challenging things day by day.
I love copper as it is such a special product. It's been used for thousands of years and it is so durable. Copper almost lasts forever and it changes colour which is a natural process called oxidating. I've specially treated my pieces with heat to make it soft and give it that special colour. Because copper is such an amazing metal almost anything can be made out of it. I use special tools to cut it and form it.
I offer customized, individual and original pieces as I am very flexible with size, shape and colouring.
Thank you for your interest in my copper art."
