I have always been a lover of beautiful things, especially jewellery, so for me learning to design and make contemporary jewellery has been an amazing journey. I am a follower of fashion as well as all contemporary art and design and find inspiration in all these realms.
I feel a responsibility in my practice and life style to highlight the connections between mining, metal smithing and responsible material sourcing. As a jeweller I am aware of the materials I use and I am concerned with the social and environmental impact of mining and jewellery production. Therefore I endeavor to recycle my silver off cuts and cold join wherever possible, minimizing the use of strong chemicals in the cleaning process.
