hand knitted wrist warmers in grey tones with mint green accents - 100% merino and wool - elegant fingerless gloves for winter
I love wrist warmers (fingerless gloves). These are made with a multitude of yarns, all from New Zealand. Since I always forget which is right or left I have sewn "a drop of red" button on the right side, accompanied by ribbon! (both the button and the ribbon can be easily removed if you do not like the idea!).
The arm portion is knitted in a ribbed pattern with a gradiented dark-light-grey 100% virgin wool. The palm area is merino wool, dark grey. The top and bottom edges are a fine mint green wool. These are very soft and the grey-mint green combo is very elegant.
The gloves are roughly 20cm long, reaching mid arm. Laying flat: the top edge is 8cm wide, palm area and arm is 10cm wide, bottom edge is 11cm wide. The arm area appears narrower because the ribbed knit causes the yarn to "shrink" in when not worn.
They do stretch to fit and the width at the mid arm length is wide enough to fit over sweaters or jackets if you like.
